February 2012 Newsletter
General
• We exceeded our expectations yet again as this time we have received 500+ registrations from 20+ countries. In light of these recent developments, we have made a few additions to our workshop to make Smokey Feet 2012 even more enjoyable.
Teachers
• We are happy to announce that Patrick Szmidt and Natasha Ouimet (CAN) will join the main teacher line up.
• Also, this year we will have a dedicated list of taster teachers joining the teacher line up to add more value to your learning experience:
- Shorty George (US) & Oksanna Pavlova (UA)
- Nejc Zupan (SL) & Anna Yakshina(UA)
- Chris harm (AUS) & Louise Tangerman (CH)

Accommodation
• At the moment, all available hosting spots are filled, so if you haven't received any invitation for hosting yet, chances are very small that we can help you get a spot in Amsterdam. We recommend you start looking for accomodation as soon as possible as prices are high and hotels might be full due to Easter!
• We DO however have some hosting spots outside of Amsterdam. So if you're interested in being hosted outside of Amsterdam, let us know! The city of Utrecht is only 20 min away and trains are going all night long. Also, there are some spots available just outside of Amsterdam for people who are coming by car! Send us an email if you're interested.
• Additionally, we'd like to ask all Dutch dancers again: if you have a spot for someone to sleep, please let us know! A couch or the living room floor would already make people very happy, Also in Utrecht!
Parties
• Entrance to parties is unfortunately limited! Therefore, if you want to attend parties, be sure that you fall in one of the following categories:
- "Party Passes" requested via the website, these do not require any further confirmation and can be paid at the registration desk in Amsterdam.
- "Full Passes" that are ACCEPTED for classes include entrance to all parties.
- "Full Passes" that are on the WAITING LIST can ask by email to remain on waiting list for classes, while reserving a party pass at the same time.
Jack 'n Jill
• Given the unprecedented number of registrations we have had and the short time frame in which we had it, we are unable to permit all Jack N Jill registrations. We will shortly send out confirmation mails to those who made it. Our apologies for those who could not make it into the list.
Volunteers
• You cannot make it to the classes. But you'd still like to be a part of Smokey Feet? We're still looking for:
- Dutch volunteers who can drive (preferably from Amsterdam, with car!).
- People who'd like to help with preparing and cleaning up of the parties!
